Meter Attributes
WeBill distinguishes between two types of Meter attributes: Inherent and Installed. Inherent Attributes and Installed Attributes are not the same. Meters of the same Model will always share the same Inherent Attributes, but might not share the same Installed Attributes.
Inherent Attributes
Inherent Attributes are configured in the Device Module per Meter.
Certain attributes have default values and certain attributes are only available for certain Meter types.
Meter Numbers
Meter numbers are unique within the entire WeBill system. The Registry has been designed in such a way that no duplicate Meter numbers can be entered. Organisations cannot have the same Meter number in more than one Organisation.
Utility Type
The utility type of a Meter must be designated with one of the following:
- Electricity
- Water
- Gas
If it is an electrical Meter the phase must be designated as either:
- Single Phase
- Three Phase
The following Meter attributes are applicable for all Meters of all utility types. Some of the following attributes have default values. Where attributes do not have default values, no value is required to be entered.
Indices are types of Meter measurements. The type of available Indices is dependent on the utility type of the Meter.
When configuring the Meter utility type, the available indices for that utility type are presented and need to be configured.
For water meters, the applicable Index is:
For gas meters, the applicable Index is:
For single phase electrical meters, the applicable Indices are:
For three phase electrical meters, the applicable measurement Indices are:
Installed Attributes
Installed Attributes are configured on the installation of a Meter. These attributes may differ from Meters of the same Model. The Installed Attributes are configured in the Portfolio Module.
