What is the Device Module?

The Device Module focuses on the management of Organisation Devices.

The term Device is broader than just Meters. Devices include  Modems; Customer Interface Units (CIU); Data Concentrator Units (DCU); IoT switches; Meter seals; Aerials; SIM cards; and others.

The essence of the Device Module is the registration of  Meters in the Meter Registry and the scheduling of Meters for Meter Reads. Every effort has been made to ensure an easy, fast and efficient registration of Meters into the Organisation Device Registry.

Devices can be uploaded into the Registry or entered manually. The Organisation Device Registry is searchable.

This Module caters for the scheduling of Meter Reads.  WeBill supports several mechanisms to ingest Readings into the system.  Meter Readings can only be ingested for Meters that are registered in the Registry.

All data, statistics, reports and charts on individual Meters are visible in this Module.
