Charges
A Tariff comprises an amalgamation of Charges. A Charge is reusable within the Organisation that defined the Charge. The same Charge can be applied to multiple Tariffs. The same Charge cannot be applied twice to the same Tariff.
Charges are never public and therefore not reusable across Organisations.
All Charge Attributes must be configured. Charge Attributes are applied when defining the Charge.
Charge Configurations can be added when associating the Charge with a specific Tariff.
Charge Configurations could be Season, TOU, Step, or Qualifier.
The Charge Attributes are as follows:
Name

Frequency
The measurement period that is applied to the Charge. The following Frequencies are valid:

- Monthly.
- Billing Period (defined from the beginning of a period to the end of the period).
- Annual.
Utility Type
There are three Utility Types:
- Water.
- Electricity.
- Gas.
Index
The unit of utility measurement that is applied when calculating the Charge. The following are valid Indices:
Denomination
- The monetary denomination of the Charge Rate.
- Denominations are determined by the Locale of the Organisation creating the Charge.
- Two Denominations are supported: 01 and 1.00.
