While Tariff component building blocks and Charges rarely change, Charge Rates do change and are updated from time to time. For example, in South Africa NERSA updates the municipal rates annually.

Tariff Schedules are created to update Charge Rates. A fully-fledged rate verification and audit process, the Rate Journal helps ensure the correctness and integrity of the Charge Rates.
