A Journal facilitates the capturing of the Tariff Rates for the Cycle period as specified by the Tariff Schedule. If the Tariff Schedule Frequency is annual, then the Journal Rates will be valid for a year.

Data Capturer

A Data Capturer is a special type of Authorised User, who has the Role of Data Capturer.

It is recommended that at least a minimum of two Data Capturers are assigned to each Tariff. The more Data Capturers assigned to a Tariff the less the risk for incorrect rate capture. Data Capturers should not work together. Cross Checking is crucial for a proper vetting process. Data Capturers should never view or work on each other’s Rates as this will defeat the purpose of the Journals.

The only function that a Data Capturer has is to capture Rates in a Journal. A Data Capturer will be assigned to one or more Tariffs. One or more Data Capturers are assigned to a Tariff. Again, the best practice is to assign at least two Data Capturers per Tariff.
